Role Description:
This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced Analyst to join the Mainframe Storage Engineering team at Bank of America.
This is a key role needed for storage support and planning. The Storage Engineering team is currently engaged on storage projects that involve items such as: Director refreshes, Development replication, Data Assurance, Numerous DR and related tests to support new CECs, Brocade monitoring replacement, and audit-related activities.
Responsibilities:
1. Support Mainframe (System z) Storage projects including system design, build, development, implementation, maintenance, operations, and client support across infrastructure and software.
2. Work under minimal supervision and support senior personnel and project managers on technical projects.
3. Support and help train junior analysts, including guiding and providing technical peer reviews.
4. Analyze complex problems and exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies.
5. Adapt to a fast-paced environment and switch between projects as needed.
What we are looking for:
1. Ample Experienced MF Storage administrator
2. Considerable technical documentation writing skills
3. Considerable experience with Hitachi Vantara DASD synchronous and asynchronous replication
4. Considerable experience with IBM TAPE GRID configurations
5. Considerable experience with Broadcom (Brocade) FICON directors and channel extension
6. Involved with implementation of new MF Storage technologies.
7. In-depth knowledge of ACC/SRS, ACS, DFHSM, ICKDSF, CA1, User Catalogs, ABARS, TDMF, and DFDSS
8. Provide 24x7 on-call rotation support with weekend and evening work required
Skills that will help:
1. Proficient with SAS, VISIO, MS Office, and REXX
2. Project management skills
3. Assembler, CLIST, and REXX knowledge
4. Conceptual understanding of Mainframe Operations
