Role Overview: As a Power and Renewables Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in underwriting and managing a diverse portfolio of power and renewable energy risks. You will work closely with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to provide tailored insurance solutions that meet the unique needs of this sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and underwrite power and renewable energy risks, including wind, solar, hydro, and other renewable energy projects.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and industry partners.
* Conduct detailed risk assessments and analysis to determine appropriate coverage and pricing.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure comprehensive risk management and compliance with underwriting guidelines.
* Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the power and renewables sector.
* Contribute to the development of new products and underwriting strategies to enhance our market presence.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as an underwriter in the power and renewables sector.
* Strong understanding of the renewable energy industry, including key technologies and market dynamics.
* Excellent analytical skills and the ability to assess complex risks.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Professional qualifications in insurance (e.g., ACII) are preferred.
