The role as a Autism Support Worker: To support students who struggle with their class work Facilitate a sun and friendly learning environment To provide support to the class teacher To help the class teacher prepare lesson materials and classroom boards To keep the classroom a tidy and presentable environment To encourage children to do their best Help manage classroom behaviour Listen to the children read and practice their phonicsThe successful Autism Support Worker: You will need to be calm and compassionate. Personality is everything You must be able to take initiative well and problem solve Have some experience working with children, desirable but not essential You must be patient.
