Overview
We have an existing exciting Leadership Opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering the future of packaging, achieving Nomads Sustainability goals, driving pack innovation and value creation at the heart of our business model as the lead contact with procurement for RDQ packaging.
This role is to drive successful R&D packaging implementation, key focus on delivering best in class implementation to deliver the Nomad growth plan. Lead & own RDQ accountabilities for packaging Fuel 4 Growth programme, as well as dotted lines with the packaging teams across RDQ. Joint accountability for defining and leading RDQ response to Nomad pack sustainability agenda and pack innovation scale up.
Responsibilities
* Drives implementation of relevant R&D programmes across multiple SUs & designated copackers, in line with agreed objectives and milestones.
* Leads and drives cross RDQ packaging community of practice.
* Owns the RDQ elements of the on-going packaging Fuel 4 Growth programme and leads the technical ideation to re-fuel the pack F4G pipeline.
* Owner of RDQ: Procurement relationship for packaging.
* Drives R&D Implementation Sustainability Agenda to meet Nomad targets and - jointly accountable with RDQ futures for defining on going sustainability journey beyond ‘100%’, considering new legislation, consumer impact, taxation, post-consumer waste content etc.
* Drives prioritisation decisions, consulting with colleagues and escalating to R&D Head of Implementation, &/or R&D/RDQ Heads of, when needed. Inputs into GIM driven decisions on Fuel 4 Growth, representing when needed.
Qualifications
We need someone who can lead and is comfortable with driving change and working proactively within a fast-paced environment. Someone who understands the interdependencies and complexities where product and packaging converge. Is able to work right across the width of RDQ from Value Creation, Technical project management, Innovation generation with teams, Prototyping, scale up + SU implementation, and on-going portfolio maintenance, whilst always keeping the consumer and business delivery at the forefront. The ideal job holder will be comfortable presenting and influencing at a senior level across the business, a true cross functional collaborator, a great developer of people and understands the ‘how’ is as important as the ‘what’ when it comes to delivery. Has high levels of accountability for self and when delivering through others.
* Relevant Science Degree and technical expertise.
* Track record of successful project portfolio leadership within FMCG.
* Track record of balancing different priorities and delivery to ensure maximum business impact.
* Leadership within a matrix.
