We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic technician to provide support to teachers and students in our well-resourced Art and Photography department. Duties will include setting up equipment and resources ready for practical lessons, helping students’ access equipment and resources during lessons for both Art and Photography, providing appropriate assistance to students and the teacher in practical Art and Photography lessons, including the management of chemicals and kit for the dark room. You will also be required to keep logs of equipment and stock and keeping the Art and Photography rooms and resource base clean and tidy.
Although previous experience is not necessary, an interest in art / photography is essential.
Hours of work will be 22 hours per week Monday-Friday Term time plus 5 staff learning days. 39 weeks per annum. Actual Working hours will be agreed with the line manager.
Starting salary for a full time post is based on Band D; £24,027 to £24,404 per annum. The actual Salary for the hours/weeks worked is calculated between the range of £12,376 and £12,571 per annum, subject to any continuous service.
