Position: Regional Sales Manager
Area: Covering UK & Ire (Must be commutable to West Midlands)
Salary: Up to £60k + bonus + company car

The Role:
1. To control and drive the sales activities within a specified area UK & Ireland to ensure the achievement of budgeted sales targets and taking an active role in the sales process.
2. Develop strategies and plans for new business opportunities.
3. Develop new business opportunities.
4. Plan, direct and drive the sales activities within the specified area.
5. Prepare detailed sales forecasts and advise on sales management strategies to achieve targets, interpret results and take corrective actions to achieve the sales targets.
6. Contribute to the development of the marketing plans and recommend modifications to the marketing strategies considering trends.
7. Be the voice of the customer and represent the customer internally.
8. Coordinate and action the sales budget and regional business plans.
9. Using company Business System Tools, prepare and submit a detailed Sales Action, Request for special products and service as required by the customer(s).
10. Work closely with Engineering to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of special projects for customers in assigned territory.
11. Manage the customer expectations on sales project progress and the final delivery of machine.
12. Prepare own quotations for the standard product range, applying the company's calculations rules.
13. Conduct price negotiations for machines, software, aftermarket products, and 3rd party accessories.
14. Segment the customer base and define priorities.
15. Work closely with Global Key Account Manager to maintain relationships to regional Key Account sites.
16. Report on competitive activities and customer trends.
17. Define the regional customer buying behaviour and implement strategies that would benefit the business.
18. In cooperation with Marketing, coordinate and conduct sales promotions and market research.
19. Execute special marketing projects and programs.
20. Support trade shows and symposiums.
Requirements:
1. Technical background in machine tools or cutting tools.
2. Broad experience in all dealings with customers.
3. Technical selling.
4. Negotiation skills in a competitive environment.
5. Focused and highly driven to achieve agreed targets.
6. Demonstrate a flexible and “can do” attitude.
7. Interface between customer and the Company.
8. Demonstrates PC Skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
9. “Outgoing” personality with solid verbal and written communication skills.
