We are seeking a skilled Senior Systems Reliability Engineer (Software-Focused) for our Broomfield, Colorado locations with a strong background in software development to enhance uptime and system reliability across our platforms. This role involves developing robust applications to monitor system performance, notify stakeholders, and enable automated recovery mechanisms. You will play a key role in improving the overall resilience of our systems by designing, building, and maintaining tools that proactively detect and address issues before they impact users.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop software solutions to monitor system health, detect performance bottlenecks, and identify potential failures.
* Implement notification systems that effectively communicate with IT, software, product, and operations teams about system performance and incidents.
* Architect and build automated recovery processes to ensure rapid response and minimize downtime during system disruptions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and reliable system architectures.
* Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement long-term fixes to prevent recurrence.
* Continuously improve observability by integrating modern monitoring tools and frameworks.
* Write clean, maintainable code following industry best practices for software architecture and design.
YOU MUST HAVE:
* Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Minimum 8+ years of experience in software development with a focus on system reliability or site reliability engineering.
* Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status.
* Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a Peoples Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
WE VALUE:
* Masters Degree/Ph.D. in Engineering or related technical field.
* Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available and scalable systems.
* Hands-on experience with system performance monitoring, analysis, and optimization.
* Strong understanding of fault-tolerant system design and failure recovery strategies.
* Advanced programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or a similar language.
* Experience developing tools and frameworks for system monitoring and automation.
* Familiarity with software architecture, API design, and distributed systems.
* Proficiency in building integrations with notification systems.
* Understanding of risk and reliability assessments (e.g., FMEA or fault tree analysis).
* Familiarity with database reliability and optimization for high-availability systems.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Estimated Salary Wage: $132,000 - $165,000 Annually
