Head of HR Salary: Up to £60k per annum Location: Full time office based, near Shrewsbury, Shropshire SY5 New Reflexions are a childcare organisation providing care, education and therapy services to young people who have experienced trauma in their lives resulting in emotional and behavioural difficulties. As a result of ambitious growth plans, we are looking for a Head of HR to take up a brand new role with us. This role will be the number one HR person in the business and will be responsible for providing advice and direction on policy, strategy and legislation, supporting the Senior Management team alongside managing the HR and training department and contributing to the overall success of our organisation. This position is based full time at our head office in Shrewsbury. Responsibilities: As the Head of HR and Employee Relations you will be:- Collaborating with the senior management team to align HR strategies with overall business objectives and operational needs. Forecasting staffing needs, identifying skill gaps, and developing strategies to attract, retain, and develop talent within the care, education, therapy and administration workforce Working on a wide variety of projects & initiatives alongside the senior management team Ensuring that recruitment and retention meet business needs Policies and processes for the HR function are relevant and compliant Managing employee relations issues, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive work environment to enhance morale and retention You should be able to demonstrate or possess: You are CIPD qualified to L5 (or working towards L7) At least 5 years’ pervious HR Experience as the lead HR person in the business at a business partner level Strong influencing skills, displaying the confidence & resilience needed to act as a true partner to the business and its leaders. Confident in Microsoft office packages Commercially & financially astute and possessing the ability to understand the business and apply people intel to add value to business performance and long-term sustainability. A sound generalist knowledge of HR practice, policy, procedure, and employment legislation. Strong generalist HR experience in the fields of learning & development, performance management, employee relations and internal communications. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Effective communication skills Driving licence and has access to a car.
