Position: Section Supervisor (Safety Critical Role)
Location: On-site, 5 days per week
Contract Type: Inside IR35
Pay Rate:
* Umbrella: Up to £450 per day
* PAYE: Up to £330.52 per day
Security Clearance: DBS required
Safety Critical (Sentinel) Role: Yes
* Sentinel Competencies: PTS certification required from Day 1
Job Responsibilities
As a Section Supervisor, you will:
1. Supervise and inspect work to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
2. Execute tasks safely, following all safe systems of work procedures, method statements, and instructions.
3. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
4. Perform inspections as directed to maintain asset integrity.
5. Prioritise and plan work effectively.
6. Prepare work/resource specifications and method statements, including Safe System of Work Plans.
7. Support the development of safe, efficient work plans compliant with standards.
8. Identify and propose asset renewal opportunities.
9. Allocate resources appropriately.
10. Deliver work in line with maintenance plans.
11. Update systems, databases, and records with accurate information.
12. Conduct staff surveillance and asset condition checks.
13. Assist in staff management, control, and discipline.
14. Monitor and support staff competence and welfare.
15. Contribute to your professional development and support the growth of your team.
Minimum Requirements
* Experience: Proven ability to supervise worksites and deliver work safely and efficiently.
* Knowledge:
o Resource and work organisation/planning processes.
o Inspection, maintenance, renewal, and asset condition assessment techniques.
o Relevant standards, procedures, and instructions.
o Cost and waste control techniques.
* Skills:
o Strong verbal and written communication.
o Ability to coach, influence, and develop team members.
o Promotes and embeds safe working behaviours within the team.
* Qualifications:
o Relevant competencies required by business needs (PTS certification essential).
o NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant field (or equivalent experience preferred).
o Willingness and ability to drive vehicles as required.
