Job summary We are looking for a dynamic and highly skilled clinician experienced in all aspects of inpatient rehabilitation across Acute Medical, Care of the Elderly and community wards. A forward thinking clinician with the skills to combine highly specialist clinical practice with innovation, you will be committed to following best practice and the development and promotion of high quality physiotherapy services. As a service wide clinical lead across inpatient teams, you will have demonstrable leadership qualities, excellent communication and time management skills with proven abilities to build networks across sites and disciplines. Whilst this is a full time position, there may be possibility to consider part time hours over a minimum of four days. Main duties of the job Although based in Royal Gwent Hospital (RGH), Newport, the postholder will deliver their clinical hours across RGH and Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr sites. The role will support the professional development of physiotherapy clinicians across ABUHB rehabilitation teams. The postholder will also drive the strategic development of the inpatient rehabilitation pathway and interface with community based services e.g. Community Resource Teams (CRT). You will be responsible for working with MDT colleagues to identify and implement new models of care that enhance the ability of the physiotherapy service to support the Health Board to deliver high quality, evidence based care and contribute to service sustainability. You will be expected to work with with other clinical leads within inpatients, Senior Physiotherapy Manager and the Management team to inform future service development and will jointly ensure all physiotherapy inpatient services delivered across the Health Board comply with the requirements of clinical governance.
