We are seeking a dynamic Team Leader to join our Trainee Mortgage Advisor Academy, at a multi-award-winning brokerage based in Fareham, Hampshire.
The ideal candidate will perform and oversee the daily tasks of a telephone-based department offering advice on financial products to prospects that have made an enquiry online and existing customers.
The successful candidate will ensure optimal performance from all team members, driving department efficiency and excellence from the front.
The role will collaborate closely with the Directors, the Training team, and the Advice Team Leaders to ensure the customer journey is a successful one, offering support and guidance as needed to the rest of the team.
Success in this role will require a proactive and flexible approach, someone who is able to ‘set’ the standards and lead from the front with their own figures.

What you’ll do:
* Manage and call dialler campaigns, delegating timeslots and understanding priorities to ensure optimisation of results
* Ability to overcome objections whilst working in a regulated environment
* Assist the Training Executive with ensuring high standards, recommending training needs when observed from the team
* Assist in the recruitment process with interviews
* Act as the first point of contact for team members and other departments, offering support, guidance, and solutions to any queries
* Take ownership of the daily management of the Trainee Mortgage Advisers, ensuring all members are aligned with departmental goals and perform their duties effectively whilst understanding their goals
* Monitor team progress using in-house KPI and prepare morning Buzz Meetings to motivate staff
* Establish clear communication and support within the team, fostering positivity and productivity within the work environment
* Lead by example, setting high individual performance standards whilst creating a culture of teamwork and problem-solving within the team
* Maintain open communication with senior management, offering regular updates on team performance and emerging issues
* Be flexible in responding to ad-hoc tasks or requests from senior management, prioritising effectively any urgent business needs that need to be met
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience of being a high achiever in a telephony-based sales role
* Proven experience in a team leader role would be desirable
* Be able to work on own initiative
* Ability to work in a dynamic work environment where trainees are promoted to other roles, whilst the company sources and nurtures more talent
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and delegate call campaigns
* Basic knowledge in Microsoft applications including Excel
