St Teresa’s R C Primary School, are currently seeking a Caretaker. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust
This individual will be responsible for the day to day management of the school site and to ensure all buildings and grounds are maintained and cleaned to a high standard. The site supervisor plays an important part in the smooth and efficient running of school. The post holder will be expected to work in a flexible way to meet the needs of school, combining planned and regular tasks with day to day needs and emergency responses.

We are seeking an individual who:
• Work well within our school family, demonstrating a practical and positive approach to challenges and a ‘can-do’ attitude that puts the children front and central of all our work.
• Carry out daily cleaning duties around school including supervising and liaising with contract cleaner
• Possess the self-motivation to manage their time effectively, work independently and continuously evaluate the needs of the school, prioritising as appropriate.
• Have a keen eye for detail in order to maintain our school to the highest standards of health, safety and cleanliness, taking pride in their work. This will include occasional painting, maintenance outside and general repairs along with small scale improvements and odd-jobs.
• Have a good standard of Maths and English in order to maintain paperwork for annual, monthly and weekly compliance checks.
• Act as principle key holder and respond to occasional emergency ‘callouts’
• Ensure security of the school premises and comply with all health and safety legal regulations
• Co-ordinate and supervise contractors on site
