The Electrical Engineering Lecturer will provide subject expertise within the multidisciplinary teaching team with a focus on electrical engineering to enhance current teaching delivery, reflecting current, state of the art and emerging engineering practices.
The Electrical Engineering Lecturer will demonstrate depth of knowledge and experience to be able to deliver content on design, installation and management of Electrical services, including AC/DC, Transmission and Distribution, and Switchgear and Protection. A good knowledge of Building Services is also desirable to cover all levels of student academic achievement from Level 4 to Level 7.
Additional experience to support your application:
* Level 6 or above qualification in electrical engineering (or a closely related subject).
* Teaching qualification to level 5 (or committed to achieving one through funded support with MKC Training).
* Knowledge / experience of the construction industry.
* Incorporated Engineer, or Chartered Engineer, or willing to work towards professional registration in an agreed timeframe.
* Experience in higher education teaching the relevant subject area or have demonstrated that you have the strong potential to be able to teach their subject during interview.
* An understanding of the work performed by the Royal Engineers (Humanitarian aid, Peace-keeping, Disaster relief etc)
