Role: Business Development Manager (Defence and Aerospace)
Salary: £60k with OTE of £84k.
Location: Trowbridge, 4 days at home with 1 day in the office
Hours: 9 am – 5.30 pm

The role: With significant growth potential in the Defence & Aerospace sectors, the company is offering an exciting opportunity to join their sales team focusing on these markets. They are seeking a strategic business development leader to take on the role of Defence Sector Lead and drive new business in these key areas. The successful candidate will come with a strong Defence network of contacts (Tier 1-3 and MOD).
Responsibilities:
* Plan, target and deliver sales.
* Manage the entire sales cycle actively and professionally from lead generation and lead management to prospecting, arranging appointments, preparing compelling & professional proposals and presentations, negotiating, and closing new business opportunities.
* Provide timely responses and exceptional levels of service to all enquiries.
* Thoroughly research, develop, and share market knowledge of the D&A sector.
* Build the Company's profile within the Defence & Aerospace sector.
* Support the current Sales Account Manager where sector experience is needed.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in direct sales within the Aerospace & Defence sector.
* A highly organized sales hunter with a track record of successfully developing new businesses.
* Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to making things happen.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships and managing expectations with clients and colleagues.
* A passion for new technology and a strong technical curiosity.
