Job summary Come and join a great team Falmouth Hospital are currently looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, and reliable administrator/ ward clerk to provide full clerical and administrative support mainly to the ward team but also to all departments within the Hospital. You will need to be extremely organised and pay close attention to detail. You will also need to be flexible to deal with changing work environments and priorities. Having the ability to learn new processes and procedures quickly is essential. To be the first point of contact for all patients, visitors and members of the public attending the hospital and to ensure they are fully assisted as required. Previous experience of working in a patient or client-focused environment is essential, as is experience of working in a busy reception. The post is part-time working 22.5 hours per week, usually over 3 days but the admin service provide 7 day cover so there may be a requirement to work weekends and bank holidays. Falmouth Hospital has 22 inpatient beds, an Outpatient Department and a Minor Injury Unit providing 12-hour nurse led care, inpatient and outpatient physio as well as an x-ray department. Main duties of the job The purpose of the post is: To provide full clerical and administrative support to the inpatient ward and/or the clinical team; there may at times be a requirement to cover the main reception, minor injury unit or outpatient department, all of which are key functions within the hospital. To be the first point of contact for all patients, visitors and members of the public attending the ward and ensure they are fully assisted as required.
