Working for the Apache Delivery Programme Manager, this Project Manager role is required to lead Additional Tasks throughout the entire proposal lifecycle and into Gate 5 execution, in order to continue the growth of the BDUK Apache programme portfolio in-line with the Long Range Business Plan (LRBP). This role will include customer engagement, functional co-ordination and management of proposals, incorporating the Boeing Programme Management Best Practices (PMBP). The ideal candidate will already be familiar with industry standard Project Management practices and will ideally have Proposal generation experience. Additionally, the candidate will need to display proficiency with a wide range of specialized process tools and materials, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint and Boeing or industry recognised systems to manage risks, issues & opportunities, contracts, change processing and estimating. Position Responsibilities : Demonstrate proficiency in proposal management by managing Apache Additional Tasks Projects from inception to Gate 5. Manage the Projects in accordance with Boeing Processes and Policies whilst leveraging existing tools and process documentation. Lead cross-functional proposal team with clearly defined RAAs to ensure and maintain programme accountability Diffuse conflict or manage difficult situations to ensure total alignment to the objective Identify key stakeholder objectives and requirements specific to the project, including Customer and Supplier dependencies. Support the Programme Growth PM in negotiations involving major project parameters such as deliverable definition and performance objectives (e.g., cost, schedule, quality). Work with a Project Scheduler to develop project plans and define deliverables that meet identified requirements, and Customer expectations. Develop a robust proposal risk position, including costed risk and Cost Risk Adjustment (CRA) Manage and report on Company Fund Request (CFR) spend for each proposal Report proposal status and performance metrics to program leadership team and Customer Attendance at the monthly Proposal Project Managers Meeting (PPMM) Work with the Programme Growth PM to proactively identify additional opportunities, and ways to improve levels of service and ensure FTQ on all proposal deliveries Establish and maintain good communications and relationships with project and functional organisations, including Customer counterparts. Hold project team responsible for a Go4Zero safety culture, implementing new processes where required. Promote a ‘Help Needed’ culture, where appropriately requesting help is encouraged and those providing help are held accountable. Apply industry standards and any available data source for best practices, lessons learned, historical and forecast data to perform trend, earned value and variance analyses to create a baseline project plan. Occasional International travel may be required for proposal development. Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives. Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project. Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers. Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion. Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives. Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders. Bid and proposals experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to listen, assimilate, evaluate and summarise. Commercial awareness and ability to work within and remain compliant with Boeing’s Commercial process. Sound knowledge of the Project Lifecycle from requirements definition, proposal preparation and negotiation and project implementation through to completion. Demonstrable experience of working with UK MOD platforms is welcome. Driving license preferred.
