We have an excellent opportunity available for a dynamic and experienced Development Project Manager to join our Commercial Property Team at Wokingham Borough Council, on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will lead and manage the delivery of both WBC service and commercial development opportunities from masterplanning and viability to implementation and delivery, utilising expert project management skills to work with multi-discipline teams and across Council departments and with external stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent project management skills and a strong understanding of Commercial and Residential development. Ensure all development proposals represent value for money and the optimum use of Council resources through on-going financial appraisal, assessment and production of robust business cases. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior management. Liaise with local planning authority, politicians, stakeholders, funders and tenants on all planning and communication matters across the strategic property and commercial assets portfolio. Candidate requirements: Degree-level, equivalent relevant construction professional qualifications or expertise. Evidence of continuous personal and professional development. Strong project management background, either in the private or public sector. Good IT skills including office software such as M365, SharePoint, Teams, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
