Skanska has been appointed to the North West and Central Framework and allocated a bridge replacement project in Clifton, Penrith, Cumbria on the West Coast Mainline over the M6 Motorway. We are seeking a Site Engineer to support with surveys during the detailed design phase, mobilisation and project delivery.
You will:
1. Ensure all works on site are carried in accordance with the Work Package Plan and Task Briefing.
2. Manage and co-ordinate site activities including site diary management.
3. Check that works are implemented as per the approved drawings and that site Policies and Procedures are followed.
4. Help the Section Engineer develop 6-weekly programmes.
5. Communicate with project team, key stakeholders and client on project delivery progress and collaborate on feedback.
6. Assist with inspections, test plans, receipt of materials and risk assessments.
We're looking for:
1. Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering.
2. Effective written and verbal communication skills to diverse audiences.
3. Knowledge and understanding of engineering principles.
4. Working towards or in possession of Professional Industry Qualification (IEng, CEng etc.).
5. Competence with digital tools.
6. Formal training in Health & Safety and Environmental management (SMSTS, SEATS).
7. Relevant CSCS card.
8. Setting and experience using engineering surveying tools.
9. Full UK driving licence is required for the role and location.
