About the role
We are seeking to recruit a Senior Admissions Officer to work in our central admissions team, which manages applications to postgraduate programmes across UCL.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee key aspects of graduate admissions administration.
2. Manage and support a team of admissions staff.
3. Collaborate with academic colleagues to agree on selection criteria.
4. Assess applications and make selection decisions based on agreed criteria.
5. Review complex fee status cases.
6. Prepare documentation to support visa applications under the UK Visas & Immigration points-based system.
This role will be a maternity cover until 30 June or the return of the substantive postholder, whichever is the earlier. Other staff members wishing to apply for a secondment must discuss this with their existing line manager before submitting their application. The line manager can then consider whether the employee can be released for the secondment and how the employee’s existing role could be covered during the secondment.

About you
The successful candidate will have experience of admissions in a higher education setting. The appointee will have excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure. The nature of the work requires an individual with good interpersonal skills who is able to successfully work in a team.
We are operating hybrid working and you will have the opportunity to work remotely for up to four days a week.
