In this role we are looking for someone to take full ownership for the Management Accounting process and providing advice to the budget holders in the company. The role is a mixture of accounting, advisory, systems development and process improvement. We are ideally looking for someone who is a qualified accountant and with good experience operating at a hands-on level, you will be a pro-active self-starter who can solve problems and an interest in continuous improvement. We are looking for people with the following skills and experience: You will be a fully qualified accountant (ICAS, ICAEW, CIPFA, CIMA or ACCA) and have experience in a busy and fast-paced sector. You will have Management Accounting technical expertise and the ability to make sense of this information to help the business improve. You will be motivated to help the team succeed through improving processes, systems and ways of working. IT literate and with good experience of Microsoft packages, including excel, ERP systems and broadly experienced in using software to manage finance. Strong financial analysis skills are important and a background in budgeting, forecasting, and comparing actual results with forecasts. You will have sound judgement and decision-making skill, problem solving ability and be a dependable team member. You will be an excellent communicator; you will build effective relationships and be pro-active in doing so.
