Reporting to the Senior Sustainability Manager, this position plays a pivotal role in supporting the Sustainability Team by conducting all activities associated with Winvic’s operational carbon footprint. In a fast-paced, dynamic environment, the successful candidate will develop, implement, and monitor strategies to measure, report, and reduce carbon emissions across a variety of projects and frameworks.
As an experienced sustainability professional with a passion for data and leaving a positive environmental impact, you will focus on key responsibilities such as the calculation and reporting of operational carbon data, with a particular emphasis on Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions across Scopes 1-3, as well as SECR (Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting). Proficiency in data analysis and a strong understanding of the GHG Protocol principles, ISO 14064-1, and GHG emission reporting will be essential to driving success in this role.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Have a passion for sustainability and a drive to reduce carbon emissions
* Demonstrable knowledge of the construction industry or experience in a similar field is highly desirable
* Work with accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to manage time and workload effectively
* Analytical and critical thinking skills
* Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Microsoft Excel and Word
* Excellent verbal and communication skills
* Desire to learn and continuously develop, with an ability to challenge established processes and policies, identifying more effective solutions
* Ability to build relationships and work well with a variety of stakeholders
* Demonstrate a high level of teamwork, discipline, and enthusiasm
Key Responsibilities:
* Measuring, reporting and analysing Winvic’s operational carbon footprint – Scopes 1, 2 & 3
* Data collection for Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) and Energy Saving Opportunity Support (ESOS)
* Coordinating operational reporting requirements across internal and external teams and reviewing actions needed for the year ahead
* Ensuring emission factors are up to date in line with DEFRA/BEIS
* Ensuring the efficiency of the operational reporting processes
* Liaising with external suppliers to capture relevant data to monitor and analyse
* Liaising with Winvic’s supply chain to collect Winvic’s Scope 3 GHG emissions
* Understanding GHG protocol and work within these guidelines
* Keeping up to date with the latest Sustainability standards and guidelines for operational carbon reporting within the UK and construction industry
* Ensuring data accuracy, quality and use of appropriate evidence reporting
* Generating innovative ideas to help reduce carbon emissions across Winvic’s operations and sites
* Liaising with other departments to improve the collection, input and reporting of sustainability data
* Supporting Winvic’s target to achieve its Sustainability KPIs and carbon targets
* Staying up to date with new technology, innovations and best practice in the industry to accelerate Winvic’s sustainability journey
