THE WORK
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) is seeking a Subcontract Manager for a position in Stratford, CT. You will be the primary liaison between Lockheed Martin and our suppliers, responsible for the management of supplier cost, schedule, and technical performance on multiple efforts in the Sikorsky line of business.
As a Subcontract Manager, you will play a critical role interfacing with internal partners to solve problems and ensure procured materials and services are acquired in compliance with established procedures and support the program needs with minimal supervision. Your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Manage the procurement cycle from request for proposal to purchase order closeout.
2. Preparing and issuing Requests for Proposal, evaluating proposals, source selection with evaluation criteria, and issuing subcontracts.
3. Negotiate pricing, contractual terms, and lead times.
4. Manage supplier relationships and cost, schedule, and performance issues.
5. Monitor and perform Earned Value analysis of supplier costs.
6. Maintain accuracy of purchasing documents and data including procurement files in accordance with policies and procedures.
7. Supports and leads cost reduction initiatives, change activity, and program meetings.
8. Comply with all applicable FARS / DFARS and company policies.
WHO YOU ARE
You are a dynamic and experienced professional with a background in subcontract management or program management. You possess strong leadership skills and are an effective communicator and negotiator, able to manage complex projects and drive results.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10 years of professional experience or 8 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
2. Proven problem solving and negotiation skills.
3. Knowledge of various contracting types (Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, Incentive Fee).

3. Working knowledge of Rotary business and supply base.
4. Effectively communicate with all stakeholders (leadership, peers, suppliers).
5. Proven ability to collaborate with supplier.

7. Proven ability to analyze proposals to verify accuracy, completeness and compliance.
8. Ability to manage SDRL's (Subcontract Data Required Line Items).

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
