Job Role: Project Manager
Location: Leeds (LS9)
Salary: £44,000 - £48,000 (negotiated on experience) + Car Allowance + Bonus
Hours: 08:00 – 17:00 (1 hour lunch)

Project Manager:
Our Project Managers will initiate the project from Sales handover through to execution & close-out, ensuring successful delivery of product to site with invoice tracking in line with agreed budgets. As a Project Manager, you will coordinate & track multiple client projects in line with business needs using a set process from order intake to delivery on site.
The role will be a mix of office-based and site-based, so good communication skills, technical knowledge, and construction experience are essential. Being target-driven with a strong drive for delivering projects on time is a must-have attribute to be successful in securing this opportunity.
Main Duties / Key Responsibilities:
The role of a Project Manager is to pro-actively drive on-time project delivery, on budget, and to a high technical standard to ensure excellent customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Project launch:
* Review quotation, supporting documentation, and email history to familiarize yourself with the project.
* Speak to your direct Sales contact to understand customer requirements, stakeholders, and expectations.
* Lead project launch meeting with the customer to ensure their scope is clearly understood, expectations are clear from both sides, highlight/mitigate risks, and agree on an ongoing communication plan.
* Agree on the format for regular communication (internal and with customer) with a clear agenda and issued minutes.
Delivery:
* Create an achievable project plan following SLAs agreed during project launch.
* Schedule tasks to achieve this plan ensuring the project is resourced accordingly; quickly communicate/escalate if information or comments are late causing delays to the plan.
* Pro-actively drive company and customer teams to ensure the plan is achieved.
Budget control:
* Manage the project to deliver on customer agreed budget.
* Identify, communicate, and justify commercial scope change at the point of variation to obtain commercial approval to proceed from the budget owner within our customer's organization.
Technical:
* Monitor revisions and ensure timely intervention if designs do not quickly converge to a solution (in line with the plan).
* Ensure open lines of communication between internal teams and customer technical lead.
* Assist in the resolution of blockers preventing drawings from being issued.
Project close down:
* Arrange project close-out meeting to discuss project performance and lessons learned.
* Discuss future projects to implement these lessons learned.

The project manager must pro-actively manage multiple customer stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered successfully and in line with our core values. They are at the forefront of the business in terms of building customer relationships and gaining future opportunities.
Key Competencies:
Knowledge:
* Knowledge of modern construction methods focusing on company product interfaces.
* Project Management best practice (risk management, planning, cost management, communication, etc).
* A basic/good technical understanding of structural steel projects and/or construction projects.
Skills:
* A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills.
* MS Office including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Scheduling/planning.
* Ability to multi-task with excellent time management.
* High level of accountability for plans, action, delivery, and outcome.
* Commercial awareness (budget, forecast, margin, etc).
* Problem-solving.
Experience:
* Project management experience (in a technical environment).
* Construction experience (design process and/or site).
* Leading teams to achieve a successful outcome.
What will you need?
* 2 years (minimum) experience as a Project Manager or similar.
* Project management cradle-to-grave experience with Critical Path Analysis understanding.
* Task & time management with tracking nature ingrained.
* Confident in expediting of issues.
* Urgency & on the front foot whilst being pragmatic.
* Strong communicator, written & verbal.
* Similar manufacturing background (Sheet Steel, Fabrication).
* PM Qualification (APM) is desirable.
