Disability Support Worker – School Based
Support, Educate, and Nurture – Make a Difference in the Classroom!
At Sense Education, we’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker who is ready to transfer their valuable skills into the classroom. We currently have both full-time and part-time (flexible days) positions available to start ASAP at a school in the Leeds area. This is an exciting opportunity to support young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and help them achieve their educational, social, and emotional goals.
About the School

The Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping students with SEND reach their full potential. Your work will involve:
1. Supporting pupils in class to meet their educational, social, and emotional goals
2. Assisting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and some who may present with challenging behaviour
3. Providing tailored support in a highly supportive environment to ensure students can thrive
4. Collaborating with a dedicated team to ensure every child’s needs are met
Experience with challenging behaviour is advantageous, but above all, we’re looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
1. Comes from a support background, with experience working with young people or adults with disabilities
2. Is deeply passionate about supporting young people to succeed
3. Demonstrates kindness, empathy, and a caring approach
4. May have a support qualification or a degree, but most importantly, has a genuine desire to help others
5. Is eager to learn, with full training and support provided
