Administrator - Purchasing Department Coventry based 40 hours per week Monday - Friday days We are seeking a purchasing administrator to work for a Coventry based client on a permanent basis. This purchasing administrator role is 40 hours per week on days - working within a leading manufacturer in Coventry area. The role is office based but will involve being within a manufacturing environment. Your role of purchasing administrator within the buying team involves logging new materials as they come in to ensure the products are trackable, traceable and workable for the manufacturing teams. This will involve some interdepartmental communication such as quality team, stores team and despatch teams. You will find the role is diverse, interesting and fast paced at times. Key tasks of purchasing administrator: - Contact and liaise with clients regarding orders - Placing orders for necessary raw materials and purchased parts according to the requirements of the production. - Dealing with claims, settling debit and credit issues. - Handling purchasing data privacy. - Confers with vendors to obtain product information such as price, availability and delivery schedule. - Maintains procurement records such as items purchased, costs, delivery and inventories. Skills of purchasing administrator: Use of the following tools may be required: Working usage of Word, Excel and Power Point, English language knowledge, data entry, ten-key, spreadsheet (PC), ERP software. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply common sense comprehension to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardised situations.
