As a member of our dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEN, helping them overcome barriers to learning and promoting their well-being. We are currently recruiting for the following positions:
1. Learning Support Assistant: In this role, you will work closely with teachers to provide classroom support, personalised support, and assistance with academic tasks. Your patience, empathy, and ability to adapt to different learning styles will be key to helping students reach their educational goals.
2. Behaviour Support Mentor: As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you will utilise your expertise in managing challenging behaviors and promoting positive social skills. Your role will involve working closely with students, implementing behavior plans, and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
3. 1:1 Teaching Assistant: As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will have a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational journey of a specific student. Working closely with the student, their teachers, and other professionals, you will provide individualised support, promote engagement, and help with classroom activities.
4. Cover Supervisor: A cover supervisor is responsible for providing temporary classroom cover in the absence of a regular teacher. They oversee students' behaviour, maintain a positive learning environment, and deliver pre-prepared lesson plans. They play a crucial role in maintaining discipline, engaging students in learning activities, and ensuring the smooth running of the school day.
Requirements:
1. A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs
2. Relevant experience or qualifications in a similar role (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Mentor)
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
5. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students
6. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
7. Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS or be willing to apply
