Position: Care Assistant
Location: Birley, Beighton, Halfway, Frencheville and Mosborough areas of Sheffield
Job type: Permanent, Part time and full time positions available
Salary: Shift pay rather than pay per call, which means you are paid from the start of your first call to the end of your last call within a shift. £12.30 p/hr (drivers) or £11.50 p/hr (walkers) – travel time included
Mileage: 45p per mile drivers, 20p per mile for cyclists. PLUS bonus schemes: up to £300 new starter, £300 Refer a Friend, £250 annual bonus, £25 birthday gift voucher.

About the role:
As a Care Assistant, your working hours will be aligned to shift patterns, which includes early starts, late evenings, and weekend working:
1. Early shift: 7:00am - 2:00pm
2. Late shift: 3:00pm - 10:00pm
Your working pattern will be agreed, setting a 2-week rota which includes:
1. Alternate full weekends, or every Saturday or every Sunday
2. Evenings as agreed within your working hours
As a Care Assistant, you will:
1. Provide personal care that protects people's dignity.
2. Promote independence using enabling approaches.
3. Support people to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals.
4. Connect people to their communities accessing local support and services.
5. Deliver personalised care through individual choice and control.
6. Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting, and sharing information with the right people at the right time.
About You:
No experience necessary! You may already have many of the skills needed to make an excellent Care Assistant. Patience, empathy, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively are all essential qualities for this role.
Candidates MUST reside in the UK and live within the Sheffield area.
