About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Counsellor, who holds BACP registration, to join our Student Services Team. The role will provide short to medium term counselling to individuals to encourage healthy mental and emotional development, promoting longer term resilience. Early intervention and support are key to ensuring we support individuals and enable them to achieve to the best of their ability.
This role’s purpose is to ensure all students (aged 16+ across our Further Education course portfolio and HE), including those vulnerable students, are provided the resources to make excellent progress both academically and with their social and emotional development.
About you
* Qualifications: You will hold BACP registration.
* Experience: You will have significant experience of supporting young people and working with a range of stakeholders in a pastoral and student support setting.
* Expertise: You will be familiar and comfortable with the importance of student confidentiality when working with young people in crisis and of building and maintaining effective professional boundaries with staff and students. The ability to be creative and to think out of the box will be essential to success in this role as well as working within a multidisciplinary team.
* Passion: You will be personable, highly compassionate and genuinely interested in education and achievement, and most importantly will have the students’ aspirations and mental health at the heart of your vision.
Please note that this role is a part-time, 3 days per week role. We are open to discussing the days of work.

Salary
From £15,930 to £17,700 per annum (pro rata £26,550 to £29,500 per annum FTE), subject to qualifications and experience.
