Fundraising Officer, Christian Charity c£27,000
This Christian charity based in Oxford is looking to recruit an individual to join their successful and established fundraising team to work with the Fundraising Manager responsible for Major Gifts (Major Donor and Trusts) and help drive these income streams. In this 3 strong team (part of a wider fundraising Directorate of 11 fundraisers) you will be supporting the operational work of the Fundraising Manager for Key Relationships. This includes building good relationships with existing major donors and trusts and identifying new potential supporters who have the ability to give generously to Christian charities. Day-to-day activities include appropriate and accurate research, timely communications (via applications, letters, emails, phone conversations, and face to face meetings) and supporter care events. You will be managing your own portfolio of donors (including High Net Worth Individuals and Trusts and foundations) in order to solicit gifts for the charity and offers the successful candidate a significant opportunity to develop both major donor and trusts fundraising skills, project management and analytical skills to compliment you already good research and communication abilities.
Ideally you will have some fundraising experience in Major Gifts or Trusts, but this role would also suit a candidate looking to work in the charity sector with a demonstrable background in Business Development, Communications and/or Marketing who has good experience in writing proposals and in face to face / telephone contact with customers / supporters. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt your writing and communication style to suit the audience. Strong IT literacy and knowledge of the MS Office suite of applications are essential as is a database experience and a good knowledge of research and administration methods. You are positive, proactive in mindset above reactive, cheerful of disposition and a good team player. In addition to these skills, you also have a strong Christian Faith as it is an Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 that the post holder will be a practicing Christian. Salary dependent upon experience c£27,000 + benefits.
