This person is seen within the region as advanced in business acumen as well as business execution both internally and externally by customers. This position will be responsible for leading sales initiatives within an assigned geographic territory. As a member of our professional sales team, you will build strong distributor/customer relationships and use your established industry contacts to generate sales and business opportunities with new, as well as existing clients. Primary Responsibilities/Activities: Achieve or exceed sales goals as planned on product line accounts by maintaining the existing customer base. Developing the sales territory by attracting new customers (end-users) and business opportunities. Expert level technical knowledge and problem-solving experts to our customers regarding the most effective use and application of products as well as maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge on all aspects of all product lines. Introducing new products to distributors and end-user customers. Provide input to the Sales and Marketing groups on competitive activity and market conditions. Maintain current knowledge of competitive market environment and pressures, relative to the industry and local sales territory. Development of advanced business plans that drive to territory achievement driving the region to goal. Develops, deploys, and manages resources that drive results defined in business plan that in some cases are aligned with the associated key account plan. Teach and coach peers within the framework of the sales managers’ direction to drive to a high preforming accountable team in day-to-day activities. Leads by example in territory by completing and fulfilling territory and customer plans at an advanced level in effort to show others the way as well as to use as a platform to coach up peers. Show planning and discipline with budgets while bringing creativity into achieving above average ROI decisions. Skilled in building customer to customer relationships by possessing the ability to ask deeper questions that lead to opportunities that are then incorporated into business plans to be executed against. Active on market teams representing the entire region. Expert level ability to build rapport with customers and interactions are above standard. All other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in sales, management or business or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: 4-7 years of progressively responsible experience in sales roles related to animal health or pet industry. Highly developed customer service skills with a proven ability to develop strong client relationships Motivated, self-starter with results and solution orientation and the ability to work independently Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize daily, weekly, and monthly territory travel and focus Working knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook Travel required in this position: more than 50% The pay range for this role considers a wide range of factors including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographical location, and other organizational needs. The estimated pay range for this role is $79,800 Min to $119,700 Max per year. Additionally, you will be eligible to participate in a bonus incentive program associated with this specific role. Short- and Long-term Disability Our company-paid short-term and long-term disability plans to provide income replacement in the event you are not able to work due to illness or injury. Short-term disability will provide 70% income replacement up to $1,350 per week and long-term disability will provide 60% income replacement up to $5,000 per month. Tuition Reimbursement After one full year of employment, employee-owners are eligible for tuition reimbursement for bachelor’s level coursework related to their current job or any future job offered at PBI-Gordon Companies.
