About the Role Haringey Council is currently seeking a Data Analyst to join our Digital and Change Business Unit within the Culture, Strategy and Engagement Directorate. As a Data Analyst, you will be part of the corporate data team, adding capacity as we seek to enhance our data science approach and use of insight while embedding our Data Strategy. Your key responsibilities will include: Using specialised software to support the provision, analysis, and interpretation of high-quality and often complex information from a range of sources. Working collaboratively with services to help them understand data and translate it into insight, including the development of dashboards and visualisations. Improving data quality and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Ensuring the production of accurate and timely reports on outcomes and targets. Developing accessible and innovative methods of collecting, collating, and presenting statistical and qualitative information. About You We are seeking individuals who are strong communicators with the ability to demonstrate an understanding of current developments in the application of Information Systems and able to assimilate and interpret advice from specialists - technical or otherwise. Ideal candidates will have: Experience working in local government, within performance, data/analytics or intelligence sector. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft products & use of Microsoft Power BI to develop reports and manage data. Experience in the use of coding languages such as Python and/or R. Effective data analysis and system skills. Ability to interpret and communicate data to non-specialist audiences. Good oral and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex information in user-friendly formats.
