An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Radiotherapy Network team as an administrator. We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and conscientious individual with excellent PA, administrative and organisational skills. The post holder will be a key point of contact for the Network and will liaise with colleagues at all levels, and as such excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
This is a hybrid role with some remote working from our host trust UHCW, supervision will be via virtual platforms such as MS Teams and regular face to face catch up's on site with the Radiotherapy Network Team. The role is vital to provide comprehensive administrative support in an organised, efficient and effective manner.
The West Midlands Radiotherapy Network was established in 2019 and covers 6 Radiotherapy units within the region.

As part of the role you will be expected to:
Help arrange and facilitate Network meetings, arranging venues and managing attendance, producing agendas and taking and transcribing minutes if required.
Collate and Circulate papers to and from the network meetings
Collate and chase up actions and updates as required and logging of progress.
Facilitates communication between the different clinical radiotherapy departments within the West Midlands Radiotherapy Network, leading on the issuing of the quarterly newsletter.
Maintain the Radiotherapy Network website (training will be given).
Provide general administrative support to the Network Manager, including using UHCW procurement systems for incurring expenditure.
Utilise a range of work procedures and practices, using knowledge of full range of administrative systems, software programmes, specialised functional terms.
Manage own workload and work independently, prioritising tasks within service need.
The post holder should be able to demonstrate time management of daily duties, analysing and prioritising workload and be able to use initiative and judgement where appropriate. They must be able to prioritise workload to ensure their work is completed within designated timescales and cope with constant interruptions.

• Provide secretarial support for Radiotherapy Network Managers’ administrative correspondence requiring an advanced degree of word processing skills.
• Provide support to the Network manager in following up on agenda item actions and project plan actions.
• Word processing and data input for a substantial proportion of time.
• The post holder should be able to demonstrate time management of daily duties, analysing and prioritising workload and be able to use initiative and judgement where appropriate.
• The post holder should be able to work alone and unsupervised, being able to use a significant amount of initiative where appropriate and prioritise tasks as needed
• The post holder should be able to travel to alternative sites for meetings as required.
• They must be able to prioritise workload to ensure their work is completed within designated timescales and cope with constant interruptions.
• The post holder will require Excel and Outlook proficiency so they are able to undertake Diary management and project plan actions update.
• The post holder will be expected to learn basic web management skills in order to keep the Radiotherapy Network website up to date
• The post holder will possess attention to detail and work accurately under pressure.
• The post holder will possess a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
