We are looking for a Workshop Technician to join our Cable Assembly Workshop within the forward-thinking & innovative MacArtney UK team. The ideal candidate will have an interest in working within a busy workshop environment, and will have experience in a similar role in the past.

Position
1. Wiring and moulding of cable and connectors.
2. Reading and understanding wiring diagrams.
3. To build a knowledge of connector types and their usage (surface or subsea application).
4. To build a knowledge of cable types and understand usage of different conductor types.
5. Use of the mixing machine for two part polyurethane.
6. Hand mixing of 2 part polyurethane (different grades).
7. Knowledge of relevant solvents and primers required as part of the moulding process with regards to their application and safe handling.
8. Cable inspection and writing subsequent reports.
9. Usage of all electrical test and measurement equipment required to carry out daily work.
10. Operation of shot blasting machine.
11. Ensuring your quality of work is kept to the highest standard at all times.
Profile
1. Ability to work with a team environment.
2. Self motivated and confident.
Practical Experience
1. Ideally a minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar role.
2. Soldering experience essential.
