The Chief Finance and Commercial Officer will identify opportunities within RJAH for lucrative strategies that are both marketable and sustainable, aligning with wider Trust strategic objectives.
The role will lead the Chief Executive, the Board of Directors, and the Council of Governors on all aspects of commercial and financial strategy as well as financial management.
Jointly with other system partners, the Chief Finance and Commercial Officer is responsible for ensuring that the Integrated Care System (ICS) delivers its financial targets.
The role would suit an aspiring and experienced Chief Finance and Commercial Officer, who, working with an inclusive Board of Directors, will be at the forefront of innovation and development of commercial opportunities within RJAH.
We are one of five specialist Orthopaedic Centres in the United Kingdom and a leading orthopaedic centre of excellence. We provide both specialist and orthopaedic care and are a specialist centre for treatment of spinal injuries and specialist treatment for children with musculoskeletal disorders.
RJAH has been successfully GIRFT accredited as an elective surgical hub delivering high standards in clinical and operational practice, for both adult services and paediatric services. RJAH is one of the very first organisations in the country to get the kitemark for paediatrics.
The Trust sites the state-of-the-art Headley Court Veterans' Orthopaedic, which is a pioneering healthcare facility, the first dedicated orthopaedic centre for Armed Forces veterans in the UK.
RJAH Finance team are Level 3 accredited for One NHS Finance since September 2023. Our most recent Staff Survey detailed more than 75% of employees would recommend RJAH as a place to work, an increase on our previous year of more than 10%. Additionally, more than 94% of employees would be happy with the standard of care provided by the Trust if they had a friend or relative requiring treatment, which was the best score in England.
