Job summary Dermatology is looking for experienced and dynamic staff nurses to work within our busy day surgery and out-patients department at Brighton General Hospital. You will be providing a high quality service for patients and clinicians. Experience of working in theatre, day surgery/out-patient clinics or dermatology day treatment unit is desirable but not essential. You must be able to work within a team and work hours that are flexible to meet the needs of the department. We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses. Main duties of the job Adheres to the NMC code of conduct at all times. To actively monitor and maintain high standards of care and to promote health education. To assist patients with all aspects of care within the clinical area. To assist with clinical procedures within the clinics i.e: monitor minor surgery/day surgery and nurse led clinics. To be proficient at removing surgical sutures and undertaking specialised dressings. To understand/apply knowledge of wound care when applying dressings.
