P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team based in Dereham on a full time, permanent basis.
Main Responsibilities:
* Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for companies, sole traders & partnerships.
* Personal and corporate tax return preparation & completion.
* Client bookkeeping and management accounts for a variety of businesses, using mainly Sage 50, Xero & QuickBooks.
* VAT return preparation & transmission.
Person Specification:
* Good communication skills, happy to converse with clients and able to work in a team.
* Experience in a similar Bookkeeping / Accounts Assistant role.
* Must have good experience of Sage, Xero & Quickbooks.
* Ability to work solely with minimum supervision.
* A personable, customer driven, people person.
* Have a positive can-do attitude.
* Have a passion to go the extra mile to support client queries.
* Must be able to work to strict deadlines.
* Practice experience an advantage
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified by experience or have an accountancy qualification.
* Current and relevant experience within an accountancy practice environment.
* Prompt client contact and liaison providing a top-class service, going the extra mile.
* Supporting the Directors with new ideas for best practice and forward-thinking accounting.
* Experience of Accounts & Tax Software.
