We are currently recruiting for a Production Manager for an established and respected SME manufacturer in Normanton. The role is perfect for an ambitious individual who can grow with the company and earn a senior position within the company. You will have a high level of autonomy to manage all production issues and develop people and processes in line with CI; there’s a very receptive team of around 25 to manage and further develop.
Day to day responsibilities will include:
1. Scheduling production to ensure that customer expectations are met;
2. Delivering improvements in manufacturing cost and quality;
3. Setting and achieving KPIs;
4. Managing core values to develop an already high-performing team;
5. Developing a culture focused on continuous improvement across the manufacturing team;
6. Mentoring and developing colleagues.
You:
1. A quick learner with proven experience of manufacturing low volume, complex, built to order products.
2. A strong track record of Health and Safety delivery.
3. A “Can do” attitude.
4. Happy on the shop floor and in the Board Room.
5. Expert in production scheduling.
6. Able to produce and analyse data to drive continuous improvement.
7. Experience of using and developing ERP/MRP.
8. Either electrical or mechanical technical background.
9. Excellent people skills, able to motivate and lead.
