Vacancy: Fitout Foreman

Projects: NI/ROI/UK flexibility required
Work with one of Northern Ireland's most reputable fit-out providers, specialising in retail, workspace and hospitality projects, working across NI, UK and ROI.
Job duties:
On-Site Supervision:
* Oversee all on-site activities related to the fit-out project.
* Supervise tradespeople, subcontractors, and laborers, ensuring they adhere to project plans and timelines.
* Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary to meet deadlines.
Quality Control:
* Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and in accordance with the project specifications.
* Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify any defects or substandard work.
* Work closely with the project manager and quality assurance team to implement quality control procedures.
Health & Safety Compliance:
* Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations on-site.
* Conduct site inductions for new workers, outlining safety protocols and emergency procedures.
* Monitor site conditions and practices, addressing any potential hazards promptly.
Coordination with Stakeholders:
* Liaise with the project manager, architects, and designers to ensure the smooth execution of the project.
* Communicate effectively with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
* Serve as the main point of contact on-site, addressing any issues or concerns that arise.
Resource Management:
* Ensure the efficient use of materials, tools, and labor on-site.
* Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to order additional materials as needed.
* Manage the allocation and deployment of labor, ensuring that the right skills are available at the right time.
Problem Solving:
* Identify potential issues before they become problems and develop solutions to keep the project on track.
* Handle on-the-spot challenges, such as unexpected delays, technical issues, or client requests, while maintaining progress and quality.
Time Management:
* Develop and manage daily and weekly work schedules, ensuring that tasks are completed on time.
* Track progress against the project timeline, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
* Ensure that any delays are communicated to the project manager and that corrective actions are taken.
Reporting and Documentation:
* Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including work completed, issues encountered, and materials used.
* Prepare regular reports for the project manager on progress, quality, and any issues affecting the project timeline.
* Document any variations or changes to the project scope and ensure they are communicated to all relevant parties.
Handover and Defect Resolution:
* Ensure that all work is completed to the client's satisfaction before handover.
* Oversee the final inspections, ensuring that any snagging or defects are rectified.
* Assist with the handover process, ensuring that all documentation and certifications are provided to the client.
Team Leadership and Mentorship:
* Lead by example, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
* Mentor and develop junior staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
* Encourage teamwork and collaboration among all site personnel.
Skills and Experience:
* Experience:
o Extensive experience in fit-out or interior construction, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.
* Leadership:
o Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team on-site.
* Technical Knowledge:
o Deep understanding of fit-out processes, materials, and construction methods.
* Problem-Solving:
o Ability to think on your feet and resolve issues quickly to keep the project on track.
