Job Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, the PPM Engineer will undertake planned maintenance activities on a wide range of fire assets under the 1FM Fire contract mainly within on the London Underground environment. You'll be working on a permanent night Sunday to Thursday pattern and in all weather. You'll be trusted to work autonomously and relied on to make sure you work safely at all times. You must have a driver's license to enable you to travel between sites.
The key deliverables of this role are as follows:
- Completing preventative maintenance tasks on a nightly basis
- Ability to support the delivery of Daily tasks in line with business expectations
- Working as part of a team and individually dependant on task
- Health and Safety awareness and practice
- Monitoring of works to ensure continued compliance
- Utilising our ServiceNow platform to update and complete visit reports
The responsibilities for this role include:
- Provide accurate site reports on completed activities to either the site SPC or your line manager
- Responsible for completion of maintenance against defined schedule
- Ensure maintenance is completed to required standard and report any issues
- Complete any administration tasks in a timely manner
- Comply with relevant QEHS requirements
- Comply with Drug & Alcohol policy
Minimum Qualifications/ skills:
- Fire Safety Codes and Standards: Understanding fire safety regulations and building codes (such as NFPA 80, NFPA 90A, or local building codes) that govern fire damper design, installation, and maintenance.
- Fire Damper Systems: In-depth knowledge of various types of fire dampers (e.g., multi-blade dampers, curtain dampers) and their specific applications in fire-rated walls and ceilings.
- HVAC Systems and Integration: Familiarity with how fire dampers integrate with HVAC systems and the buildings overall fire protection system.
- Fire Behaviour and Smoke Control: Understanding the role of fire dampers in smoke control systems and fire containment, and how they help compartmentalize the building during a fire.
- Previous experience working within the LUL or Rail environment
- LUL training courses such as Sentinel, QAF54
