My client is a leading property development and investment company who, due to an exciting pipeline of work, is seeking a Senior Planner to join the team based in Chorley.
This well-established and forward-thinking development company is seeking an experienced Planner to play a key role in shaping a variety of exciting projects, from residential and commercial schemes to strategic land and mixed-use developments.
The successful candidate will lead and manage the planning aspects of the development projects, providing expert advice and guidance to both internal teams and external clients. You’ll take the lead on planning applications, strategic planning advice, and site appraisals, helping to navigate complex planning issues and achieve successful outcomes for a range of projects.
Duties of the Role will include:
1. Lead the preparation, submission, and management of planning applications, appeals, and submissions to planning authorities.
2. Provide strategic planning advice to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring projects meet planning requirements and regulations.
3. Conduct site appraisals and planning assessments to inform development opportunities and proposals.
4. Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and consultants to manage and resolve planning issues.
Candidate Requirements:
1. A degree in Town Planning or a related field (RTPI accredited qualification).
2. Proven experience in a senior planning role with expertise in managing complex planning applications and projects.
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
4. RTPI Chartership (or working towards) is desirable, though not essential.
