Are you on the lookout for a rewarding new job packed with satisfaction that you'd struggle to find anywhere else? We've got just the opportunity for you!
Our amazing #TeamSummerlee in North Lanarkshire are now on the lookout for caring, compassionate, and flexible colleagues to join them as Support Practitioners on a permanent basis.
We are looking to expand within the North Lanarkshire Supported Living Branch in the Coatbridge and Bellshill Localities and so are looking for Support Practitioners to help support with bringing on a new service!
The Role
You will play an important part in our team, ensuring that we still provide the best care and support possible during times of staff training, holidays, and absence.
The main purpose of your role will be to support individuals who have a disability and/or additional support needs with all aspects of their daily living, including shopping, finances, cooking, housework, and personal care.
With the individuals we support also enjoying various hobbies and interests, you may also find yourself getting involved in arts & crafts, gardening, going to the cinema, meals out, swimming, discos, and going for walks to name a few.
As the people we support have their own mobility car, we will need you to have a full UK driving licence with at least 1 year of experience on the roads, which would be beneficial but not essential.
About You
All we need you to bring is:
1. A caring and compassionate attitude
2. A positive approach to learning
3. Confidence in the use of computers
You don't need experience to join our team; we recruit on values and transferable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills that you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!
Shifts
As we are dedicated to providing support tailored to the needs of each individual, shift patterns in these particular services usually involve working 9-5:30, 9-6:30, and 8-10 and will involve working weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.
Sound interesting? Well, what are you waiting for? Apply today! We're waiting to hear from you.
Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
Please note: If you have spent more than 12 months outside the UK (excluding France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
If you're successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
