Do you want to have a once in a career opportunity to be part of the team setting up a brand new educational psychology department within the new Children’s Services Directorate at the Isle of Wight Council?
What will you be doing?
· Be part of the team who will set up the Educational Psychology Service.
· Be part of the projects the Educational Psychology Service lead on.
· Contribute positively and in a complementary way to service delivery, working under the supervision of an EP.
· Develop and apply knowledge and skills in assessment, monitoring and tracking progress of children and young people with SEN, working under the supervision of an EP.
· Provide interventions in schools and other settings as directed by the supervising EP.
· Have a wide range of work including statutory and non-statutory work.
About you
· A degree in psychology recognises by the British Psychology Society .
· Able to work as part of a team.
· Ability to access face to face meetings locally.
· High quality verbal and written communication skills.
· A commitment to ensuring children and young people across the Isle of Wight achieve their best outcomes and develop into independent adults.
