The Post This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing Adult Social Care team providing good quality, customer focussed front-line service. Direct Services supports adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Physical Disabilities, dual diagnosis, and Complex Needs. Direct Services provides care and support to this vulnerable group, promoting personalisation and independence. The Service works closely with the people that use our services to support them in achieving their aspirational goals; to enable them, through a full program of activities, to live varied and fulfilling lives. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Administration Officer to join the team providing admin duties for the service to help Direct Service continue to excel and deliver an essential service to vulnerable residents. You will be responsible for acting as the first point of contact within the administration team, maintaining professional communications with internal and external customers, taking responsibility for all post/telephone queries, and handling them as appropriate. Attention to detail and the ability to accurately record information is essential, as well as the ability to communicate with customers, their representatives, and our internal and external partners. As part of this role, you will deal with all administration tasks required to ensure that departments run smoothly, including financial procedures, such as raising invoices, in adherence to council financial procedures and processes and minute taking. The Person We are looking for an experienced Administration Officer with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage workload effectively. Good organisation, digital and administrative skills are also a must. The role has a customer-facing element, so the candidate should enjoy working with the public and have experience in providing excellent customer service. You will have supportive managers and work with a dedicated team of colleagues with good knowledge of the delivery of Adult Social Care services. To be successful in this role, you will: Be able to use information systems and databases to record service information and generate reports required by the service. Have ability to manage a complex and demanding workload and prioritise tasks to achieve performance targets. Actively look for ways of improving services and outcomes for customers. Be highly organised with an excellent attention to detail. Have strong time management and multi-tasking skills to meet tight deadlines. Be an exceptional team player.
