Teacher of Biology

This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy.
Dean Close Foundation are looking to appoint a new Teacher of Biology to join our busy Biology department. This is a full-time position, and we would like the successful candidate to start in September 2025.
We have a Head of Department to support you alongside a number of experienced teachers and a lab technician to support the 3 laboratories and preparation room on offer. Other roles and responsibilities to include:
* Responsible for the teaching and learning of pupils who study Biology from years 9-13 within the allocated teaching sets.
* Attending and contributing to department meetings.
* Supporting the Head of Department with some delegated departmental tasks.
* Communicating effectively with the Head of Department, parents, tutors and Housemasters/mistresses on matters relating to pupils.
* Attending Parents’ Receptions/Meetings.
* Attending INSET sessions.
* Participating in whole school projects which take place from time to time.
This role would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT teacher who has strong ICT skills and possess the ability to teach pupils from a variety of different backgrounds.
