Nightshift Supervisor
Due to the ongoing expansion of our operations, we're on the lookout for a skilled Nightshift Supervisor to join our team in Lutterworth (ADC).
In this role you will assist the Warehouse Management team in running a safe and efficient operation in the WMS controlled Warehouse and to ensure policy and procedures are followed, any targets/KPIs are achieved/exceeded and costs stay within budget.
Hours of work: 37.5 hrs
Your duties as a Nightshift Supervisor:
1. Ensure compliance to all health & safety and environmental legislation. Investigate and record details of accidents, dangerous occurrences and near-miss incidents. Report to HSE where applicable.
2. Control an area within the Operational Team.
3. Ensure area of responsibility is completed within defined time scales.
4. Assist in the management of the operational team.
5. Assist in the development and improvement of working practices to ensure continuous improvement in operational performance.
6. Ensure all required training for operational teams is completed, recorded and updated when appropriate.
7. All stock is stored in line with the WMS.
8. General housekeeping within the warehouse, ensure all work areas are clean, safe and tidy.
9. Monitor resource against forecasted headcount and budget.
10. System compliance - WMS (MLS).
11. Complete reports as required.
12. Any other duties as and when required.
Person Specification
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Essential
1. Knowledge and experience of a WMS controlled Warehouse.
2. Team leader/supervisory experience - leading a team.
3. Awareness of Health & Safety and environmental legislation.
Desirable
1. Previous experience of Manhattan/MLS.
SKILLS/ ABILITIES
1. Attention to detail.
2. Leads by example, can be hands-on if required, plays their part in the team.
3. Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
4. IT skills - MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
5. Ability to work well within a team, and take direction from different people and ability to manage conflicting priorities.
6. Excellent time management skills.
