Job summary The Transforming Care Autism service was developed to meet the needs of autistic individuals at risk of admission to, or within,mainstream mental health services. The service has successfully transitioned from a pilot, to being commissioned as a substantiveservice. As the the Behaviour Support Practitioner, the post holder will provide direct Positive Behaviour Support to individuals and their supporters, as well as consultation and training, within a supportive multi-disciplinary team. Main duties of the job To provide applied behavioural assessment and intervention for clients who present behaviour that challenges services and poses risks to their well-being, including specialist assessment, treatment, planning, implementation and monitoring of outcomes. To employ the principles of Positive Behaviour Support in all aspects of clinical work.
