About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Supplier User Researcher to contribute to three key government projects focused on visa processing, payments for asylum-seeking children, and asylum claims. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to conduct user research, identify pain points, and ensure user needs are at the center of product development.
Key Responsibilities
* Project 1: Visa Processing Times Tool
Conduct research to understand user needs and pain points related to visa processing time inquiries. Lead usability testing and collaborate with the team to design a tool that addresses user needs.
* Project 2: Local Authorities Payment Process
Support discovery activities to improve the efficiency and integrity of the UASC payment process. Identify user challenges, test assumptions, and generate insights to reduce backlog and improve system functionality.
* Project 3: Asylum Claims Process
Lead research into the Further Submissions process to simplify user journeys and reduce administrative work. Work with the service design team to ensure a user-centered approach to product design and policy.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in user research (SFIA Level 4 or equivalent).
* Strong ability to plan, conduct, and analyze qualitative and quantitative research.
* Experience with usability testing, contextual inquiry, and stakeholder engagement.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings in a clear and actionable way.
* Ability to work collaboratively in remote teams and manage multiple projects.
