Are you an electrical project manager ready to oversee one of the most ambitious engineering projects in the UK? CWA (Civil Works Alliance) is seeking a highly skilled CWA TW Electrical Project Manager to steer the electrical systems design, installation, and supply for Sizewell C, a revolutionary 3.2-gigawatt power station poised to deliver low-carbon electricity to around 6 million homes.
Your Role: As the TW Electrical Project Manager, you will initially be based in London, transitioning to Suffolk as the project progresses. You will be responsible for:
* Managing the design, installation, and supply of electrical systems.
* Drawing up schedules, allocating resources, and managing budgets to ensure high standards and timely completion.
* Developing HV and LV distribution systems for infrastructure, plant, equipment, facilities, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing protection, and more.
* Implementing and enforcing electrical procedures and standards across multiple scopes: enabling works, earthworks, marine and tunnel, auxiliary building, and main civil work.
* Forecasting and managing electrical needs, including temporary and permanent supplies.
* Overseeing health and safety standards within the TW Electrical Department.
* Leading a multi-disciplinary project team and negotiating with various stakeholders.
* Managing supply chains and ensuring the functionality and safety of all electrical equipment.
What We’re Looking For: Essential:
* Experience in managing an electrical team on large UK civil engineering projects.
* Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles.
* Leadership and people management skills.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
* CSCS PQP Card and/or CSCS Black Managers Card.
* SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safety.
* Experience in nuclear projects and managing multiple large civil engineering projects.
* UK major construction experience and associated training.
* Level 4 or 5 Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
