About the Role:
Search Consultancy is working in partnership with a National Contractor who successfully manages construction projects for both the private and public sectors. With a new project awarded in Newcastle, they are seeking an experienced Steel Erector to join their construction team and be based across multiple sites for the full duration of the scheme.
As a Steel Erector, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient erection of steel structures on-site, ensuring the smooth progress of the project while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
* Steel framework erection: Assemble, install, and secure steel beams, columns, and frames according to blueprints and specifications.
* Lifting and placement: Safely use cranes and lifting equipment to position steel components on-site.
* Welding and bolting: Perform welding and bolting tasks to ensure structural integrity.
* Site safety: Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring safe working practices at all times.
* Site collaboration: Work closely with other tradespeople to ensure efficient site operations and progress.
* Tool and equipment maintenance: Ensure tools and machinery are kept in good working condition.

What We Are Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Steel Erector in a construction environment.
* Valid CSCS card (Steel Erector qualification is preferred).
* Strong understanding of safety procedures on-site.
