Due to successful promotion, we now have an excellent opportunity to join us working permanently with our team contracted to Orbit Housing as the Assistant Service Manager.
You will be based in our Smart hub at our head office in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, supporting the Repairs team who operate the service across Stratford upon Avon and surrounding areas.
Core Hours are Mon-Fri 8.00am-4.30pm.
The Customer
Fortem’s contract with Orbit Housing covers over 17,000 properties across Stratford-upon-Avon, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Nuneaton, Northampton, Milton Keynes, and Bedford. We have multiple workstreams, including Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Capital Works, and Re-Roofing. Duties and Responsibilities
1. Ensuring WIP (Work in Progress) is cleansed and accurately reflects the workflow situation.
2. Responsible for complying with all internal and external policies; preparing for and complying with any recommendations from Audit and inspections.
3. Provide clear and regular communication to staff, ensuring that team and/or branch performance, against target, is communicated and any remedial actions plans are cascaded and implemented.
4. Monitoring Planner and CSA adherence to daily disciplines.
5. First point of contact for escalation of customer phone calls.
6. Responsible for managing and motivating a team, driving team and/or branch performance, providing clear objectives, direction, and leadership.
7. Develop, train and retain high-quality staff to deliver high levels of customer service.
8. Use of reports and dashboards to understand area performance, act on any trends identified.
What you will need
Essential:
* IT literate with excellent planning and data interrogation skills.
* Excellent communication and able to build strong relationships.
* People management and leadership skills.
Desirable:
* Experience of workforce electronic scheduling systems.
* Knowledge of repairs and maintenance.
